search engine

I began my search by typing the whole question which gave me over thirty million hits. Then narrowed it down to "positions" each had on the fiscal cliff. Which also gave me over thirty three millions hits in 0.24 seconds. I then narrowed my search down to the "last month's" election because it was in the "news" a lot. I narrowed it down again to the "last hour" it gave me about 95 "news" result on the issue. I inputted in discussions (different views of the "fiscal cliff" in "USA") in the last hour and nearby my location and nearby and it narrowed it down to 50 hits.
These discussions gave me opinions by both parties and how they differ on this position. I also tried other ways such as (position on "fiscal cliff" republican OR democratic view) and I was able to narrow my result to 9 hits in 0.13 seconds in just the past hour. I did the same thing but this time I used AND and I narrowed my search to 3 hits. Then I also tried the -twitter, -facebook, +Obama, +Romney, +2012 presidential debate, +discussion etc.
I have learned that there are many ways the search engine can help narrow down searches and help with unnecessary info and help get rid of irrelevant posts of the internet. Most of the website tend to show mostly the democrats because the republican tend not to have a clear policies. Many of the searches I did were narrowed down to just the relevant things.

Fallen Heroes

Anakin was a confident young Jedi. He was the chosen one. Due to his rough childhood, he grew up wanting to be the most powerful Jedi, he could be. He was hungry for power and selfish, this caused Anakin to ally himself with the dark side. This was one of Anakin's very own mistakes; he ends up being unsuccessful and in turn the enemy.
Anakin became Darth Vader because of his lust for power. The chancellor had convinced him to become Darth Vader and save his wife from dying during childbirth. Anakin and the chancellor became very close. This caused Anakin to make very poor decisions to save their friendship. He was put on the Jedi council. The Jedi council wanted Anakin to spy on the chancellor but he didn't want to, as a result he told the chancellor. By doing so, Anakin demonstrated his loyal to the chancellor.
Loyalty to the chancellor meant a lot for Anakin, as a direct impact of this, it will play a huge role in his ultimate fall. The chancellor lied to Anakin because he was weak and occasionally showed selfishness. Anakin was devoted to serving the chancellor; as a result, he became Darth Vader.
Anakin could have been the most powerful Jedi if only; he was pure and made the right choices. He wanted to save his wife; his anger killed her as a result. It all began to fall for Anakin. He murdered young Jedi's, caused the death of master Windu: marking the beginning of the end for Anakin. Many would argue that Anakin could have saved himself, but I will argue that he couldn't renew his faith because he had already done so much damage to himself after so many wrong decisions.
As a result, Anakin became the beast he sought not to become. Killed his wife and became Darth Vader, a sith. He also became the enemy of democracy and partners with the chancellor. Anakin will later realize that the dark side is not the solution to the problems he was facing and that he himself is the problem.

Califronia propositions

Prop 36
"three strikes law"
Propostion 36 will revise the "three strikes" law to impose a life sentence only when the new felony coniction is for a serious or violent crime.
If I was eligible to vote, i'll vote yes on prop 36 because it will eliminate harsh sentences for non-violent crimes, therfore saving the state of California more money to improve their educational system. California needs to cut down on prison spending and focus more on education. If California focuses on education, the economy will improve as a result of many developments that will take place. It will also relieve overcrowded prisons and address the U.S supreme court order to release thousands of inmates and improve prison conditions.
The negative part of this proposition is that many criminal will be released from jails and prison. This might harm society and increase crime rates.

Middle ages

Based on my experience with The Canterbury Tales, in the middle Ages, I would love to be a Prince. I would like in my family’s palace somewhere in France, Spain or England. I would also be like a knight going to battles and being victorious, that’ll be my job. On a daily basis I’ll be helping my subjects by volunteering in towns ruled by the King. Mostly no hardships life will be very easy and adventurous. . My family would be so united and very caring. I’ll be the change in this world. The world would be peaceful and fun. I would have received military training because I’ll be volunteering for the army. I will valve society around me and my family. My plans will be marrying a princess and being honorable in society.

Tales of canterburt tales: Yeoman

The yeoman is servant of a noble household. He accompanies the knight and the squire. He has good skills with weapons. He carries a metal of St. Christopher for protection. He carries a bow and arrow, and a dirk. He is not of any royalty, this makes him a lower class citizen. He looks like Peter Pan.

American Dream

“The American Dream, personally I believe it still exists and it is achievable through hard work and dedication. My “American Dream “is to become a successful soccer player and become rich. I have hope in my dreams I think that it is realistic. Realistic in the sense, I am working towards my goals and dreams. I believe all realistic dreams are achievable through hard work because “America is the land of opportunities.” The “American Dream” is something we all hope for; at least most of us do, but in recent studies the number of unemployed youth has increased. As a result, “the global economy is being brought to its knees”, and our generation’s dream is being screwed up.
I plan to achieve my dream by working hard in school and on the soccer field because these are my values. I hope to play soccer in college, make it to a professional team and most like play in Europe. Through dedication and effort, I can strike rich and make the best of what America has made possible for me.
Technology is the world’s biggest distraction. Technology has influenced our generation so much that we are becoming addicted to our smart phones and the internet, deteriorating our ability to be creative. Technology will keep improving and psychological disorders will keep making us use them because “we are all addicts.” Technological advancements have caused the world to become obsessed to social media and smart phones. The internet “leads to behaviors that we as people are not conscious about”. It can take away or freedom, most of us “spend eight hours a day or more staring at a screen”.
Looking at statistics, the number of college grads getting good jobs is very few as a result, “student loans have grown consistently over the few decades to…$27,000 each”. Only “43 percent of graduates” are now working due to the bad economy and unemployment issues. Unlike other countries like Greece or Spain the number of unemployed people “between 18 and 29 is 12 percent”, that is somewhat better than most European countries.
In conclusion, I plan to become successful by working hard and modeling a great path to success for myself and sublime the bad economic trend. With great skill and dedication I believe I can strength fully achieve my “American Dream”.

College: Senior Year Demands

High school seniors should work hard their senior year in preparation  for college. College is very different from high school as college is where education matters to most people. As a senior, I think seniors should work harder than they have three years before. If grades fall colleges are given the impression that the individual is not "ready" for college yet. If a senior promises  a college that they will be taking certain class colleges expect those demands to be met if not they have the right to denied an applicant a place in the college.
Should seniors work hard? Yes, seniors should be able to show colleges that they are "good" enough to succeed in life and academic wise on their campus. Colleges  look at students based on the challenges they are willing to take in other to make it in life. I believe that seniors should work hard as they possible could because I shows colleges that they can be good students. When a student has worked hard for three years in high school their senior year doesn't have to be too "hard" but then again it shouldn't be too "easy".
In conclusion, seniors that have worked hard for three years, deserve to enter college in pursuit of a career in this competitive world. Senior have to work hard in other to get in the best colleges because the harder they work the more competitive colleges see their efforts to become successful college students. Senior year should be a year were a student shows the world that they are "college ready" and one can achieve such by maintaining a high G.P.A and take honors and Advance Placement classes.
